My maid of honour speech at my best friend's wedding.
Hi everyone, on behalf of the bridesmaids, I would like to say a few words too. I’m going to try do this without tearing but no promises.
For those who don’t know, Joey is one of my best friends and we have known each other for more than 15 years. It’s amazing how our friendship has blossom and how Joey has also grown to be such a fine woman. I’m truly happy to see her walking down the aisle with her best friend, Yiwei.
And here’s a little story about the couple. Yiwei and Joey have known each other for 17 years and been dating for the past 14 years! Yes, 14 years! Sometimes, it does feel like they’re a married couple already!
So how did it all begin? Joey first caught Yiwei's eyes when they were studying at CCKSS and subsequently, become very good friends. After graduating in 1998, Yiwei finally plucked up courage to ask her out on an official date. The rest, as we say, is history. I don’t know what took Yiwei so long to gather the courage but I’m glad he finally did!
So from all the bridesmaids and the girls, Yiwei and Joey, this is to love, laughter, and happiness forever. CONGRATULATIONS!
It's sometimes so fucking annoying to change or update your contacts on an Android phone because Google insists you save and tag it to your Gmail account. When you are not using a smartphone, the contact doesn't appear.
