Blink of an Eye

Has it really been three years since you slipped away from us? I understand now the phrase "in the blink of an eye". One thing I know about life now - it goes on.

And also, it's almost a year since I returned from my crazy trip. Were you proud that I did it?

Immortals

As gorgeous and as hunky the immortals are, it appears they are not immortals after all.

But oh, Greek mythology, how I miss you so.

Out, damn'd spot! Out, I say!

Bloody, bloody spots everywhere today... And it's only 10.35am...

Caesar Would Be Proud

When I asked for the movie with the cute guy, the staff behind the counter said, "Oh, In Time? It's no longer showing".

So I picked Ides of March randomly.

Who knew there WAS a cute guy in it - Ryan Gosling! Why would the staff not think Gosling is cute?

Anyway, I adored the movie. Okay, I admit, in part because of Gosling but also, the movie plot was so simple yet held so much truth. Gosling's final chilly, emotional-less blank expression when asked "How did this come about?" said it all. In politics, either you screw someone over or you get screwed over. Your pick, really.

Directed and written by George Clooney, I'll be sure to look out for more of his movies. Thumbs up, Georgie! Even Caesar would be proud of this movie - I'm not saying he'll like it though.

The Orchids Invade MBS

The orchids at the World Orchid Conference at MBS may not be as spectacular or scarily huge as the tulips at Keukenhof but they made me happy still. I'm not one for flowers but once in a while, they do make me happy. :)

Colombia's Only Risk

Went to the World Orchid Conference at MBS and saw this. Colombia - The only risk is wanting to stay. Interesting. The tourism board of Colombia must be so oblivious.

Have Wedding, Will Travel

Got invited to three weddings this week. One in Singapore this year, one in Lebanon next year and one in Serbia next year! :)

BrilpikkeWYN & WYNnii

Posted this on facebook just two seconds ago.

My sister, Qiujie Lu, is bringing me to South Africa for my birthday next Jan! As the saying goes "If it's on facebook, it has to be true."

I'm going to visit some Brilpikkewyn (read: black-footed Penguin)! Noticed how the name ends with "wyn". It's fated I will come home with one, I tell you. Woohoo~ *there-cannot-be-a-bigger-smile-kind-of-smile*

I might just die from happiness if I see these chicks up close!

No Food Wasting

W: You should go to the doc, get some antibiotics, get some dinner, take the meds and just rest.
D: I have no appetite.
W: Have porridge for dinner then. Porridge has no taste, so at least you're not wasting food.

Whoever says you have to be kind to the sick? ;P

Hossan Leong: The Funny Show Without Him

Strangely enough, the funniest segments of Hossan Leong show are the ones without him... His jokes needs to be more coherent. "Tin Pei Ling" made a cameo appearance! That was definitely the highlight of the show.

Merry Bali

Des said Bali was of forgettable memories for him. He didn't travel with six other girls like I did, so of course, he had forgettable memories.

Potato Head, Ku De Ta, Dirty Duck, Seminyak, Kuta, Sky Garden, Ubud, one too many massages, a pirate ship kite, sun tanning attempt  = Merry Bali!

I.Need.An.Intervention

I went to Bali with three pairs of shoes and came back with six. Even I think I need an intervention...
But tell me, who can resist these?! I pled not guilty!

Bali's on THE List

The best holidays are the ones that leave you yearning for more - you leave before you get sick of the place or company. Bali is definitely on THE list of best holidays! :)

IKEA for Everyone

Whenever I receive an IKEA catalogue, I get reminded how all our dysfunctional families have a shot at perfect homes. Yeah!
