The Way She Puts It

Jac messaged me "You are facing the same dilemma as me a month ago. Don't know where to spend your money and leave".

The way she puts it. The way she puts it. I like. Very much.

Lesson from House

Dr. James Wilson said "It's not cancer that kills people. It's the part of dying alone. Cancer patients with family and friends do better". It brought a faint smile. Mummy had family and friends. She wasn't alone.

It's a Jungle Out There

Lipstick Jungle showing on Hallmark channel? I'd thought that's an odd choice for Hallmark. Lipstick is about sex, no? Change of image for Hallmark, yes? Food for thought.

1,2,3... Roll

It seems that the intent of Starhub's latest HubStation advertisement is to get people NOT to sign up for it. Yep, you read it right - NOT sign up. Ugly lead, bad English, lousy lines, unnatural acting and poor lighting make one hell of a cheap-looking paltry ad.

If anyone important from StarHub happens to read this, please fire the marketing people or the ad agency. Someone's head has to roll for the disastrous campaign! Yes, someone's head does!

Of Pies and Lives

I just finished watching Waitress starring Keri Russell. It's such a quirky, morbid, eccentric yet lovely and touching show. Towards to end of the movie, I almost don't want it to end. I think it's got something else to it. I like the characters. They each have an interesting story to tell. The twists and turns of the plot are certainly few of the most originals I've come across in a long time. The palatable pies and the diner played a huge part too.

I have always wanted a bakery of my own. This show inspired me to learn to bake nice pies. I always have an image of how my bakery is going to look like in my mind. It's a dream for now. Who knows. I might just do that one day. After I master my baking skills, of course.

As I was watching the additional clips on the DVD, I realised the movie was written and directed by Adrienne Shelly. She even acted in it! Her character is this naive Southern-like girl whom I had like immediately when she first appeared. As I watched more clips, it seemed to indicate that Adrienne had passed away. I googled her and found out that she was tragically murdered in 2006. I was in shock and disbelief. It's a real pity the world has lost such a talented actress/director. She could have come up with more films that tugged at people's hearts. Life is such.

The legacy she left behind remains forever. I wish she rest in peace.

Sound of Music

I just realised I'm not going to hear mummy's voice again and slowly, I might forget how she sounds like.

Why didn't I record her singing at some singing competition?

Better Place

Mummy
12 May 1953 - 29 Nov 2008.

She's in a better place now. Always with a smile on her face.

What the Stars Say for 16 Dec 2008

The stars say, "Yesterday's hassles should fade and although it's not even midweek point, it's likely that the emphasis switches to your social life. The evening can be as fun-filled as you want it to be. Romance will be looking up too, once you get past a tendency to say the wrong things at the wrong time!"

I'm meeting Gylleann and Kevin for dinner. It's always fun to meet the two of them - a night of laughter and good times.

Boy, am I glad that I have friends who are always around. Dear Joey has been keeping me company too, by attempting to watch DVDs at my place. To explain the "attempting" word and to cut the long story short, I had to borrow a DVD player from my aunt who lives opposite.

Same Everywhere

Watching Grey's Anatomy on StarWorld, I realised the hospitals are the same as those in TTSH. It's the same everywhere, except there are cute doctors and non-suffering patients in Grey's Anatomy.

Courting Death

When you have no respect for my mum, you are just courting death. No pun intended.
