Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to you!
Happy birthday to C!
Happy birthday to you!

It's C's big day and I'm more excited for her than she is herself.

Annie's Farewell

Annie is leaving for HK for good this coming Tuesday. I'm going to miss my clubbing buddy, flower arrangement mate, mahjong kaki, eyebrow shaping buddy, the list goes on.

The most I'm going to miss about her is her thick-skinness. And of course, her silly antics.

Jac (to Annie): Your gel nails look very nice!
Wynn (to Annie): Stop! Annie, before you say anything, let me tell Jac something.
*Wynn whispers to Jac "Annie will surely say the nails look nice because they're on her".*
Wynn: So, Annie, what were you planning to say?
Annie: The nails look nice because they are on me mah.
Wynn (exclaimed): See! I knew she would say that!

Yes, this is the same girl thinks she is too skinny for her clothes.

I Still

I was just reading some past posts from 2006. I realised I haven't change a bit.

  1. I still love having a month-long birthday celebration. Life's a party!
  2. I still love reading children's books.
  3. I still love to have a baby penguin for a pet.
  4. I still love buying pretty shoes. Even if they are not in my size.
  5. I still love everything winter! Pile on the trench coat, legging, boots, scarves, hon.
  6. I still love Dior limited edition cosmetics. Most of them are still in their original packaging. No, it's not for my collection. It's just that I'm not a fan of makeup.
  7. I still love dressing up to catch plays, musicals etc at the Esplanade. I pretend it's a glamorous gala event.
  8. I still love too many of everything. "Please give me this in every colour you have. Thanks".
  9. I still have an over-spilling wardrobe, yet I have nothing to wear.
  10. I still hate being picked up at clubs.
  11. I still hate hospitals.

What the Stars Say for 5 July

The stars say "You crave independence and today brings it in a new form. It may be a little scary, but it should be equally invigorating -- so get ready for all the responsibilities that come with the new situation!"

Peter's grandfather said "With great power comes great responsibility". Where is my great power?

Non Sequitur

I sold two jugs of Whiskey Coke at Dbl O last night. I ain't pulling your leg.

Just Like You

While trying to plot an evil plan to bestow Jacqueline to Robin (oops, did I just type that), Eric mentioned that Robin's mum has an evil plan of her own. Long given up hope on Robin finding the right girl, she did what every mother has to -- she rented a room in their home to a girl who is single and of marriageable age. I have to admit, that is one of the best laid plan I've ever come across. Realising that his mum might foil my heavenly plan, I decided I need to find out more about the competition.

So, I asked Eric, "Is the girl pretty?"
Eric's reply was "She's not very pretty la. Just like you".
I smothered the natural urge to kick Eric where it hurts most. It was also just too bad that I was holding just a plastic spoon. If not, I imagine myself taking the witness stand and between sobs, I whispered "Yes, it was Eric who ran into the knife I was holding. Yes, three times". *sniffs*
Eric quickly added, "No, no! I'm not saying you are not pretty. I meant she has a fair complexion and long hair just like you".

Now, should I be happy that I don't have to worry about the competition?
